A beach shelter is special shelter that’s designed to help protect a person (or people) for the harsh rays of the sun. Imagine this – you and your family head to a nice remote beach with white sand and blue water. You enjoy the sun for an hour but find it’s just too hard, your skin is burning, and there is no shade within site. What do you do? This is where a sun shelter comes in.

A beach shelter can be easily deployed on any area with some flat ground. Most people use sun shelters for beaches, but you don’t just have to restrict yourself to the beach – you can use sun shelters on camping trips, hiking expeditions, or anywhere where you need a shelter.

There are different types of beach sun shelters. Probably the most popular is the pop up sun shelter. These come in a sort of hand bag. You remove the shelter from the hand bang and it pops up, instantly ready to be used. Other sun shelters may require you to actually set them up by attaching poles as support structures, sort of like tents. The difference between a sun shelter and a tent is a sun shelter has a wide opening on one side for people to “face” outwards. You can, for example, set one up on a beach so people can face the open ocean while being protected from the sun.

If you want to see the various styles and types of beach shelters, you can look online. There are different companies that offer different styles of beach shelter. There are a few things to keep in mind: portability and ease of deployment.

Remember that you want to get a beach sun shelter that’s portable. What good is a sun shelter that’s too large to carry around? You simple won’t use it. You also want a sun shelter that you can set up quickly. The more expensive beach shelters tents tend to be much easier deployed when you actually go about setting them up. One reason why the pop up sun shelters are the most popular is that you simply pull it out of the bag and it pops up in seconds. There is something to be said about ease of deployment when it comes to outdoor tents!
